Okay... That's Marilyn from his I don't like the drugs (but the drugs like me) video [1999].
Manson's Omega - the main character of Mechanical Animals album - is my favourite Manson's creation.
I am very careful with Omega - this picture is just a warm-up. And it's all done in traditional media (ink, water paints and coloured pencils), so it was a challenge. I hope you'll like it
You can see a TV-cross in a background. It's from a video too. It's the symbol of TV and religion as a metaphor of narcotics. People are addicted to their religion or their tv sets. TV & religion are creating gods and stars - that are "drugs" as well. Omega is crucified on this cross, he became a shocking media star, a god, a drug himself. It's just a part of this album's story - which is beautiful and tragic in the same time.
very very well done, the colours are dreary and kinda creepy,
you totally nailed the whole manson vibe,
and a great likeness of him as well...
i also like your explanation for the symbolism of the tv-cross,
awesome job!

Ask a ninja: If a ninja could be food, what food would it be?
Ninja: A cream puff. A very deadly cream puff.
Wonderful drawing and choice of subject.
Omega/Mechanical Animals, at the current point in time, is my favorite Marilyn Manson album and has become very metaphorical and meaningful to me- and that cross has always been one of my favorite manson images.
great piece!!

"Abash'd the devil stood, And felt how awful goodness is, and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely."
I can't get over how awesome your style is...This is so perfect and detailed. Taking time on the background was really worthwhile...and those sequins are great too

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
